What is Geologic Gas?

Geologic gas simply refers to natural gas that is found beneath the earth’s surface in either conventional or unconventional formations. Since geologic gas is a form of fossil fuel, it has a finite supply. This is in contrast to renewable gas that is derived from organic waste products, a feed source that can be renewed. Said differently, geologic gas has a finite supply that diminishes every time a new well gets drilled, whereas it is possible for the total available supply of renewable gas to grow.
