Natural gas futures failed to sustain Monday’s momentum and finished lower Tuesday after weather forecasts took back some of the latest modeled demand boon for later this month. The December Nymex natural gas futures contract fell 9.1 cents day/day to settle at $3.092/MMBtu. January shed 8.4 cents to end at $3.303.

December Nymex natural gas futures fell Thursday amid a bearish triple threat of exceptionally warm November weather, stout production and slightly weaker LNG exports, which bulls could not counter with the delay of a storage report that may have given them support.
December Nymex natural gas futures struggled to find direction Thursday as the market was without a key trading catalyst, following the scheduled delay of the latest government storage report. The print, which could mark the first withdrawal of the season, will be a double shot next week, in tandem with this week’s storage results.
